The 'Rausch Plantagen Costa Rica 84 %' Cuvée Prestige combines the best fine cocoa from nine exquisite varieties from our own plantation to create a truly top-quality product. Masterful processing and a careful selection of highly aromatic beans result in a chocolate that delights with completely new facets of taste. This extraordinary creation is based exclusively on pure cocoa and fine cane sugar. That's all it takes to create an authentic and intense taste experience. Traditional recipes preserve the full character of the fine cocoa so that each bar reflects the essence of sustainable cultivation and artisanal perfection.

With a cocoa content of 84% and a melt-in-the-mouth texture, the chocolate not only impresses with its complexity, but also with its naturalness. It is vegan by nature and ideal for true cocoa enthusiasts who value quality, purity and a unique variety of flavors.

Grown on our own Rausch plantation

The plantation, which Rausch has owned since 2014, is located within sight of the mighty 3,325-metre-high Turrialba volcano, nestled in the tropical rainforest. Some of the best varieties in the world are cultivated there. We grow the cocoa using innovative cultivation and post-harvest methods. No rainforest was cleared for this project close to our hearts; instead, depleted pastureland was reforested and fine cocoa was cultivated within a mixed culture, a so-called agroforestry system. In this way, diversity on the plantation is maintained and even promoted. We create ideal conditions for every cocoa seedling. Through our work at the Rausch Edelkakao-Institut, fine flavor cocoa varieties can be protected and important research questions can be examined.

Even unpacking is an experience thanks to the high-quality gold embossing on the packaging. The protective foil preserves the optical gloss, the aromatic fragrance and the typical Rausch crack - a sign of the high quality of the chocolate.
