Declaration of accessibility
Declaration on accessibility/declaration of accessibility
We want to ensure that our online store is accessible to all people - regardless of individual physical abilities or technical requirements.
Legal basis
The legal requirements for accessibility for services are set out in the Barrier-Free Accessibility Reinforcement Act (BFSG), in particular § 14 BFSG in conjunction with § 3 para. 1 BFSG, as well as the Ordinance to the Barrier-Free Accessibility Reinforcement Act (BFSGV).
A service is considered barrier-free if it can be found, accessed and used by people with disabilities in the usual way, without particular difficulty and, in principle, without outside help.
As this website is an online store, it belongs to the category of "services in electronic commerce"; it is characterized by an electronic ordering and payment option.
The online store functions of this website must be
- perceptible
- operable
- understandable and
- robust
designed.
The principle of perceptibility is intended to ensure that functions and information are presented in such a way that they can be noticed by every user.
Usability requires that people with disabilities can also use all functions.
Comprehensibility requires that information and the operation of a website must be easy to understand. This applies to language, structure and operating logic.
Robustness means that content and functions must be developed in such a way that they can be used reliably with the widest possible range of end devices, browsers and assistive technologies - now and in the future.
Description of the service
Rausch GmbH is a Berlin-based family business that has been producing and selling chocolates, pralines, truffles and fine cocoa chocolates since 1918. In addition to classic chocolate bars and pralines, Rausch also offers exclusive fine cocoa chocolates, seasonal specialties such as Advent calendars, as well as its own patisserie with handmade creations. The online store complements the Chocolate House in Berlin-Mitte (at Gendarmenmarkt) and the Chocolate House in Peine, where the store, café and factory can be experienced.
Status of compatibility with the requirements
Our online store is largely compatible with the requirements of WCAG 2.1 (Level AA).
Implementation of accessibility in the Rausch online shop
We implement various measures in the Rausch online store to ensure accessibility:
- Alternative contact options:
Orders can be placed by telephone and customer service can also be reached via a contact form. There is also a help/FAQ area.
- Images and media:
All images, especially product images, icons and buttons, have alt text to ensure accessibility for screen readers.
- Contrasts and colors:
Text, images and buttons are designed to be easy to read and have sufficient contrast.
- Font sizes:
Font sizes are sufficiently large and enable good legibility, even when the display is enlarged.
- Language and multilingualism:
The store offers an English language version in addition to German to make it easier for users who do not read German fluently to use.
- Improved user guidance:
Clear navigation, breadcrumbs and comprehensible labels make it easier for all visitors to find their way around and use the shop.
- Clear language and comprehensibility:
All content in the online store is worded simply and comprehensibly.
Some areas are not yet fully accessible due to technical limitations or disproportionate effort. We are continuously working on reducing existing barriers.
Non-accessible content:
Some PDF documents are not fully accessible.
Compatibility with assistive technologies: There is no specific information on whether the website is fully compatible with all common assistive technologies such as screen readers and Braille displays.
Interactive elements: There is no detailed information on whether all interactive elements (e.g. screen readers and Braille displays) are fully accessible.Forms, buttons) are fully keyboard and screen reader compatible.
A CAPTCHA is used at certain points on the website to differentiate between human users and automated programs. This type of security prompt can be a barrier for people with visual or motor impairments, as it is not always fully compatible with screen readers or alternative input methods
