Shipping Methods

 

Germany

DHL & Hermes 

Our standard delivery time is 1–3business days within Germany, unless a longer delivery time is specified on the product detail page for the specific items you have ordered. Shipping is free for orders with a gross merchandise value of €49.00 or more. Below this threshold, shipping costs are €4.90.

Deliveries will not be made to P.O. boxes.

UPS Express 

With express shipping, your order will be delivered within Germany in 1–2 business days (Monday through Friday; no deliveries on Saturdays, Sundays, or public holidays.) after payment is received. If you place your order by 1:00 p.m., delivery will generally take place the next business day. Express shipping costs amount to €9.90 with UPS per order.

Express deliveries cannot be made to P.O. boxes, post offices, or package stations.

Please note: Delivery times for orders outside of Germany may vary. All orders are carefully packaged and shipped as quickly as possible so that your treats arrive on time. However, despite our best efforts, delays may occur in exceptional cases due to the shipping carrier.

 

International

UPS Standard, DHL Parcel, or Hermes Parcel for shipments within Europe. Delivery time for countries within Europe is 3–8 business days. Shipments to Canada are sent via UPS Express.  

 

Pick up in person

You have the option to pick up your order directly at the Rausch Schokoladenhaus in Berlin. There are no shipping costs. To do so, please select “Pickup” as your shipping method. You’ll find more information about when your order will be ready for pickup at the Schokoladenhaus during the checkout process.

Preferred Shipping Date

With our “Preferred Shipping Date” service, you can choose the day on which we hand your package over to the shipping carrier (e.g., DHL, UPS). Delivery will then take place within the usual shipping timeframe (e.g., 1–2 business days within Germany).

The delivery dates displayed at checkout are available for selection. Please note that we can only accommodate your preferred delivery date to the extent possible—unforeseeable circumstances (e.g., unusually high temperatures on the day of shipment) may delay shipment.

Important: Shipping on the selected date is contingent upon timely receipt of payment. If payment is received after your requested date, we will ship your order as soon as possible thereafter. This service is not available for all orders and will only be displayed if it can be offered for your shopping cart.

Summer Shipping Policies 

Enjoy your Rausch even in high temperatures. Our refrigerated shipping—which includes a cooler bag and ice packs—protects your order from heat. You can easily add this refrigerated shipping option to your shopping cart during the checkout process for a small additional fee. We’d also like to point out that we strongly advise against shipping to package stations or post offices during the summer months to prevent heat damage. Please make sure you’re available to accept the package when it’s delivered by our logistics partner.

To ensure that your favourite Rausch chocolates arrive in their usual top quality, we will not ship your package when the outside temperature exceeds 28 degrees. We use the temperature in Berlin as a reference, since we ship your package directly from our chocolate factory in Berlin-Tempelhof. Even with our special refrigerated shipping option, we will not ship orders when the temperature reaches 28 degrees or higher. As soon as temperatures allow, your order will of course be processed immediately. We ask for your understanding regarding the resulting longer delivery times.

This policy applies to express shipping only when the outside temperature exceeds 30 degrees. Below 30 degrees, your express delivery will be delivered within Germany as usual within 1–2 business days (Monday through Friday; no deliveries on Saturdays or Sundays) after receipt of payment. If you place your order by 1:00 p.m., delivery will generally take place the next business day.

 

Protection of Minors and Shipping of Alcoholic Products

If your order includes items subject to age restrictions, we use a verified age verification process to ensure that the recipient has reached the required minimum age. This means that the delivery person will not hand over the goods until the age verification has been completed, and will only deliver them to the recipient in person, to an authorized representative, to adult relatives of the recipient, or to other individuals present at the recipient’s location.

We do not deliver to neighbors, other residents of the building, or package lockers.

Orders that contain age-restricted items cannot be shipped via DHL Express or to addresses outside Germany.
