The 'Rausch Plantagen Trinidad 80%' is a tribute to the unique character of Trinidad fine cocoa. With its strong, malty cocoa note and a subtle balance of nutty and fruity aromas, this chocolate promises an intense and multi-layered taste experience. The rich character of the cocoa used is not only evident in the full-bodied taste, but also in the deep, natural color, which underlines the exclusivity of this chocolate.
In the year-round tropical climate of Trinidad, the southernmost Caribbean island, the fine cocoa trees grow and thrive, giving our fine cocoa chocolate 'Rausch Plantagen Trinidad 80%' a very special and intense aroma. The Trinitario bean has only been found in Trinidad for around 300 years. This is probably why Columbus named the island after its three distinctive mountain peaks when he discovered it - Spanish for trinity - and not after the valuable fruit.
