Recipe for pain au chocolat

Ready-made puff pastry from the supermarket was used for this recipe. Of course, you can also use homemade puff pastry.

Ingredients:

- Puff pastry from the supermarket

- Chocolate(43% Rausch Venezuela or 93% Rausch Colombia)

- 1 egg yolk

- Powdered sugar (for sprinkling)

Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the puff pastry

Cut the puff pastry into rectangles and then cut these rectangles in half again to create oblique triangles (acute-angled triangles).

Step 2: Add the chocolate

Fill each triangle with a piece of chocolate. Alternatively, you can use 43% Venezuela chocolate or 93% Colombia chocolate from Rausch.

Step 3: Roll up

Place the piece of chocolate at the top of the triangle and wrap. The ends can either be closed or left open so that some chocolate runs out.

Step 4: Bake

      1. Place the mini pain au chocolat on a baking tray and brush with egg yolk.
      2. Bake at around 180°C for 15-20 minutes, depending on the size of the croissants or pain au chocolat.

Step 5: Decorate

Finally, sprinkle with powdered sugar. Voilà, it's done! These treats are perfect for any occasion.

Enjoy pain au chocolat now and let yourself be tempted by the buttery puff pastry and melt-in-the-mouth chocolate!
