This is how we like to start the day - preferably every morning: with fluffy Canadian-style pancakes with maple syrup - refined with fine cocoa chocolate, of course.
Recipe for approx. 8 pancakes
Ingredients for the pancakes:
150 g flour
50 g sugar
1level teaspoon baking powder
3 eggs
20 g maple syrup
70 g milk
Also: some rapeseed oil for baking and fresh seasonal fruit for decorating.
Ingredients for the chocolate maple syrup:
100 g maple syrup
200 g water
100 g sugar
20 g fine flavor cocoa powder
140 g fine flavor cocoa chocolate 'Rausch Plantagen Grenada 39 %'
Preparation of the pancakes:
In the first step, mix all the dry ingredients together in a bowl.
Then add the eggs, maple syrup and milk. Mix with a whisk to form a homogeneous mixture.
Heat a non-stick frying pan with a little rapeseed oil and use a small ladle to scoop 2-3 pancakes into the pan.
When the pancakes have risen and the underside is browned, turn them over.
Preparation of chocolate maple syrup:
Bring all the ingredients except the fine flavor chocolate to the boil and reduce by simmering for a few minutes.
Meanwhile, chop up the fine cocoa chocolate and stir in.
Tip:
Serve the pancakes with the chocolate maple syrup fresh and warm. Serve with fresh seasonal fruit.
